ROM Image driver for Compaq Presario 1512TC Type: ROMPaq DESCRIPTION: This SoftPaq contains a binary image for the System ROM for the notebook models listed below with a 68P4C Family ROM.­ This SoftPaq is used to flash the System ROM on target PCs on a network,­ and it requires System Software Manager (SSM) or Remote Management Setup.­ The ROM Family and ROM date can be determined by running the Setup Utility by pressing F10 on the target computer during system power on of the computer,­ and viewing File/­System Information.­ ENHANCEMENTS: - Updates new PXE boot agent to Version 4.­1.­09.­ - Supports new 32-byte serial number format.­ FIXES: - Fixes issue where L1 cache showed only 16kb instead of 20kb in F10 Setup.­ IMPORTANT: DO NOT TURN OFF POWER TO THE COMPUTER WHILE PERFORMING THIS PROCEDURE! HOW TO USE: 1.­ Download the SoftPaq to a temporary,­ empty directory on your hard drive.­ The file downloaded is a self-extracting executable with a filename based on the SoftPaq Number above.­ 2.­ The BIOS/­ROM image file must be used with Remote Management Software in order to actually flash (upgrade) the ROM image on one of the affected Presario/­Evo notebooks.­ 3.­ When used with SSM,­ copy the SoftPaq to the file store.­ 4.­ When used with WINFLASH,­ run the SoftPaq to get the .­cab file.­
